Cocopeat; is an organic plant growing medium obtained by processing the husks and fibers of the coconut plant into small pieces. Frequently used in soilless farming, Cocopeat is a product that can retain high amounts of water and nutrients thanks to its compressible structure.
With a water-holding capacity of approximately 9 times its own capacity, it protects plant roots from sudden water and nutrient loading and enables gradual release of retained water and nutrients to the plant. In this way, it supports uniform crop growth. It also nourishes plant roots in terms of aeration.
Because it is organic, soil-borne diseases and pests are not observed in plants grown in this medium.
After use, it can be dried again and reused for a long period.
Since the pH and EC values it contains are neutral, it can also be used by mixing with other organic media.
